How Your Order Actually Moves
1. Source
We work with growers, farms, packhouses, and approved suppliers selected specifically for the product and destination market — not a generic supplier list.
2. Select
Before anything is loaded, we confirm variety, grade, sizing, condition, and packaging against the buyer's exact specification.
3. Pack
Cartons, labeling, palletization, and any buyer-specific packaging requirements are coordinated in advance, so shipments arrive ready for market.
4. Control
Every shipment is checked through inspections, photos, and records, giving buyers traceability back to origin and reducing avoidable quality issues.
5. Ship
We plan refrigerated sea freight, air freight, or road transport based on what the product actually needs — balancing freshness, urgency, and cost.
6. Support
Communication doesn't stop at booking. We stay in the loop from inquiry through documentation and destination arrival.
Cold Chain & Handling
Temperature-Controlled, Start to Finish.
Fresh produce loses value the moment the cold chain breaks. We coordinate refrigerated handling from packhouse through transit, minimizing the temperature swings that cause shrinkage, spoilage, and rejected shipments at destination.
Temperature Monitoring on Reefer Shipments
For temperature-sensitive reefer shipments, DA Produce Guys uses temperature monitoring devices / data loggers, where applicable, to help monitor conditions throughout transit and support proper cold-chain management.
A broken cold chain costs freshness, so we treat shipment monitoring as part of quality control — not an afterthought.
Set before loading
The temperature setting is confirmed for the product and destination, and produce is checked before it is loaded.
Device in the load
A temperature monitoring device / data logger travels with the shipment, where applicable.
Recorded in transit
The device records temperature throughout the journey, creating a record of the conditions the produce travelled in.
Reviewed on arrival
Temperature records are reviewed alongside the arrival inspection, to support quality control and help resolve any questions quickly.

Palletisation
Pallet yields differ by loading method. Container-ship loading achieves higher box counts per pallet than conventional loading across most carton formats — the figures below are per single pallet.

Standard American Pallet
The American pallet — also called a longitudinal beam pallet — is the standard pallet across North America. Its simple structure makes it straightforward to produce and gives it good overall firmness in transit.
- ✓1200 × 1000 mm footprint — the North American standard, compatible with common container and trailer loading patterns.
- ✓Forks on both sides as standard, with good overall structural firmness.
- ✓Four-way fork entry available — the longitudinal beam can be grooved where a buyer needs entry from all sides.
Double Pallet Handling
Double-pallet handling moves two pallets at once rather than one. On qualifying loads that halves the number of internal transport movements, saving both time and cost at the packhouse and at destination.
It also reduces forklift usage and energy consumption, which lowers the overall life-cycle cost of handling equipment. The mobile forks are built so they do not catch on the side rails or the slats of the pallets.

Official certificates come from the right authority
Phytosanitary certificates are issued for each shipment by the plant protection authority of the exporting country — for example the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) in Canada, USDA APHIS in the United States, or ONSSA in Morocco. DA Produce Guys coordinates the inspection and paperwork with our growers, packhouses and exporters so the right documents travel with every load.
